I could’ve been a Mountie

I saw the RCMP’s Musical Ride when I was about 11.  It made me want to be a Mountie for a long time.  Until I realized that they wouldn’t let me just ride horses and that it would require me to actually be in law enforcement.
So, when I heard that they were coming to our town, I informed Bruce that we were going.  I think he kind of wanted to be doing, oh, ANYTHING else.  But he played along because he knew that it meant a lot to me.  The venue was terrible, the wait was agonizing, but the ride?  Just as I rememebered it.  Fantastic.  Also, there was a little girl standing in front of me, that was so very interested in the show, that it made it all come alive for me again.  My own daughters were too busy sleeping, eating grass and trying to pee in the ditch to notice much, but for me, it was magical.
I tried to upload some pics of that day, but my limit has been reached for the month, so I’ll try again next month.
