Well, unlike the March adage “In like a lion, out like a lamb” I am going to attempt to get into March blogging month like a lion, and finish strong too!
When I first thought about blogging daily as one of the good habits I was trying to form, I didn’t put much thought into what, precisely, I would actually blog about for 31 days. As the deadline approached though, the worry set in. Would I be able to be funny for a whole month?!? Would my readership tire of tiresome stories about my kids? Would I even like blogging come April?!? But, I realized, it’s only a month, and unlike my other habits, I don’t intend to continue this one at the same pace after March. But I do hope to prove to myself that writing more often is doable.
So, I will apologize in advance for what I am sure are going to be some less-than-spectacular blogs. And because I couldn’t possibly sustain a month of stories about my kids (they really aren’t that cute!) you might be forced to read about other stuff too. Hopefully you’ll like it.
So, to encourage me this month, comment, ok? Tell me what you like. Tell me what you don’t like. Tell me when I’m boring. Ok, don’t tell me I’m boring, who wants to know that?!
And just in case you thought there would be no cute stories about the kids (what, on the first day!?!?):
Holly: Mommy, I haven’t learned to fly yet…
Me: No, baby, not yet… maybe tomorrow.
Holly: Yeah! Tomorrow!
what if you did some kind of schedule? like monday: kids, tuesday: recipe, wednesday: devotional life, thursday: kids, friday: photos of the week… something like that? hmm. suddenly feeling like i should take my own advice more often 😛
anyway, i’m really looking forward to this month of yours!
Julie
just short little clips of your conversations with the girls make me laugh so hard 🙂 i can just picture Holly being disappointed she hasn’t developed the skill of flight yet hahah
I am SO excited for the month of March!
woohoo it’s march!
you could always post comments about MY cute kids…
shoot… that should be post BLOGS not comments.
“…afterall, tomorrow is another day”..Seriously cheering you on in the LOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGG month ahead.
Good luck!
And I agree…setting up a schedule certainly helped to get me through November. That and writing a few posts that could be posted anytime so that if you run into a block you have something available to post just. in. case.
The schedule is a great idea! We’ll see how it goes for now, but I will keep that on the back burner if I start struggling.
I’m sure no one would object if you wrote about your cute kids EVERY DAY! I’m will Marlys on this one…your conversations with them make me smile!
Thanks Aunt Barbie! Don’t worry- there is plenty of blog fodder where the wee ones are concerned!
