Visit with GP and GM

10 Nov

At the beginning of October, Bruce’s grandparents and mom came for a visit.

We spent most of the week just playing with the children… and canning!

I should point out that I didn’t actually partake in any of the canning work, just the eating!!

Pickled turnips- SO good!!

So between all the eating, and Mexican Train, and canning, and more eating, GM got some wonderful great-granddaughter time.

She always had someone on her lap!

One of the last things we did was head to our local pick-you-own.  The blueberry ranch was more fun for Bruce’s mom than the kids, I think!

I think this picture is very sweet- Holly and Grandma and Lamby!

All in all a very fine week.  There were even raspberries late in the season, so we were treated to buckets of them.  GM is an expert raspberry picker, and even GP went out with his walker to help the cause.

Bronwyn and Holly preferred to just place them straight into their mouths, but the occasional berry found its way into the communal basket.

I hope the girls will be able to look back on some of these pics and recall fondly the memories of these visits.

Ahhh! Cute pics…and yummy food too.
Did you take a close look at that last picture? It looks like Grandma looks like she is carrying a VERY SMALL kid in her other hand. 🙂

Is Holly a thumb sucker? So is Gabe:) These pictures are great. I’m sure GM and GP were in their glory hanging out with the girl:)
