Joan’s House

28 Oct

Mid-September, I packed the children into the car and departed for Oshawa.  We used to live there, and Joan and I still talk frequently.  It was like old times.  Except in the old times, she had an 18 month old and a newborn and I was still pregnant for the first time.  By the time we moved, Anne was only 8 months old.

Fast forward 3 years, and you have a jumping, yelling, crying, helping, sharing, hilarious mess.  There were 5 kids under 5, and boy did we get looks!

But it was like I had never left.  Although the walk to Reid’s seemed longer, and the library was terribly unfamiliar, and no one really took naps anymore, it was still the same.

So thanks for a great visit, Joan.  For all the meals, the advice, and the glimpses into the future.  And the brownies… Mmmm!

Always great connecting with old friends…I miss you! It seems now that life changes so quickly!

Love the pics, though I didn’t see any Holly.
